Summer Homework Week 1
During the past days I’ve started reading the book “Falling” by Anne Simpson. I’m currently on page 83. I think this book was a very interesting one that reflected the author’s talent. “Falling” by Anne Simpson is the winner of the griffin prize and the globe and mail best book, which I believe are prizes that demonstrates that this book is very good and that many people have the same opinion. Something that I didn’t quite like is the fact that this book is a little sad as at the beginning the girl dies. After reading the first 83 pages I realized that I really like this book and that it is very interesting and the author catches your attention fully.
Week 2
During my second week of summer I’ve finished a book I had started some time ago, this book is called “At first sight” by Nicholas Sparks. This book is about a guy who suddenly meets a girl who changes his life completely, starting with an unexpected pregnancy to a new life in a new city. While his life continues the author describes how he adapts and finds out new and life changing secrets which will question their new relationship. I really liked this book as it was really interesting and kept me glued the whole way through. I also really loved how the author wrote it and made new and unexpected events come at every page turn. “At first sight” is a book that will never end to amuse you and that will surprise you the whole way through, I really recommended.
Week 3
During my 3rd week of summer I watched the movie “Valentine’s day” for the second time as my sister hadn’t seen it yet. This movie is about different couples that struggle during Valentine’s Day, the different couples learn through out this movie to live with each other and understand each other better. I think this movie was very interesting and I pretty much liked it. One of the things I really liked about this movie was the way it narrated the story I believe the director made a very interesting job when it divided all the stories in different parts and then mixed them together at random parts. In the end I really enjoyed this movie and I thought it was very well done.
Week 4
In the fourth week of summer I read the book “dear john” by Nicholas sparks. “Dear John” is a book about a young man who after enrolling into the army and fixing his messy life comes back to his house for a vacation, here he meets a girl and they rapidly fall in love. As the book continues the young couple struggle to stay together through the hard times and johns army work. I liked this book as it was very interesting and the author makes tons of
details which made this love story an unforgettable one. Something that pushed me to read this book was that the movie has currently been made. Finally I’ll like to say that the book “Dear John” is a book with many ups and downs that will leave you attached to it and surprise you at every word, I believe this book is very beautiful and it’s very deserving of the appraisal it had around the world.
Week 5
In the fifth week of summer I watched the movie “remember me” with Andrea Betanco in the cinema. This movie is about a young man who planning to take revenge on a officer starts dating his daughter and suddenly falls completely in love with her. The movie tells their tale and how they overcome numerous obstacles and how the Youngman starts getting closer to his own family and understanding them. Sadly this movie has a tragic and surprising ending which was pretty unexpected; I think the ending was very well made and that it left the audience with an open mouth expression, never to be forgotten. I liked how the director of this movie made it come to life for the audience and made it in a way that it made a huge impact on them. I think this movie was very entertaining and very well made and I really liked it. There isn’t really anything I didn’t like about this movie as I believe it was awesomely made and I very much liked it. Finally I’ll like to end my paragraph recommending it to the people that haven’t watched it yet and stating that this movie was worth watching!
Week 6
During the sixth week of summer I started reading the book “The choice” by Nicholas Sparks. This is a book about a young man named Travis Parker who never though about a long lasting relationship when suddenly he meets his new neighbor whom he will later fall in love with. This is a wonderful book full of mystery and surprises, which will amaze you along the story. I think the book “the Choice” is a very interesting book and the things that I liked the most was the way the author wrote it, making it came alive as you read it and the amount of detail he puts, Nicholas Sparks I believe made an extraordinary work in writing this book. I’m currently on page 53, and I think “The choice” will be an amazing book to read.
Week 7
During my seventh week of summer I watched the movie “The Uninvited”. “The Uninvited” is a scary movie about this young girl who after her mother’s death has to overcome various obstacles to get back in track. During this movie you discover how the tragedy happened etc. I liked this movie because it was very surprising towards the ending and it was very well made. Something that I didn’t quite like is that it got a little confusing but I still think it was an awesome movie.
Week 8
During my eight week of summer I watched the movie “Bride Wars”. This movie is about two girls whose dream has always been their wedding day, and when it finally arrives they have the surprise that the two weddings are going to be on the same day which wakes up a rivalry between the so long best friends. What I liked the most about this movies is that it was a great story and some magnificent details put in my the director, I also liked the way the actors made their friendship appear so real and old. In the end I’ll say I really liked this movie.
